What This Site Is
CardBinCheck.com is a free BIN checker built and operated by the team behind a family of verification tools: CardBinCheck (card BINs), SwiftCodeCheck (SWIFT/BIC codes), IbanCodeCheck (IBAN validation), IPSnapshot (IP intelligence), and AreaCodeCheck (phone prefixes). One principle across all of them: free, fast, premium-quality tools with no registration and no dark patterns.
Where the Data Comes From
Our BIN database builds on the openly licensed (MIT) binlist dataset maintained on GitHub, covering 343,000+ BIN records worldwide, enriched with a commercial BIN intelligence API for records missing from the open data.
The core dataset is refreshed monthly on our own infrastructure.
What It Can and Cannot Tell You
A BIN identifies an institution and card product, never an individual card or cardholder. We only ever process the first 6-8 digits.
Accuracy and Corrections
We compile data from the sources above in good faith, but no dataset of this kind is perfect: institutions change codes, ranges get reassigned, and datasets lag reality.
